Café Gitane + Jane Hotel

O hotel The Jane fica às margens do rio Hudson, bem perto da High Line, no Meatpacking District. A história de lá é bem legal: já foi hotel para marinheiros, já abrigou os sobreviventes do Titanic, já teve péssima reputação e agora é um dos hotéis mais cool (e acreditem, com preços razoáveis!) de Nova Iorque.

Dentro de lá tem outro Café Gitane, com clima diferente do Soho, pois além de ser maior, não está em um lugar de passagem e acaba ficando mais vazio. Tem o mesmo menu e por isso igualmente delicioso.

Dessa vez, decidimos ir na hora do brunch (aquela refeição que é uma mistura de café da manhã com almoço!) com o amigo Ronnie Peterson. A comida mais uma vez não nos decepcionou, carne com purê de batatas e salada, beringela com queijo de cabra e queijo feta com azeitonas pretas, tomates e alcaparras. Não resistimos e resolvemos comer mais uma vez a deliciosa torrada de abacate.

É um ótimo lugar para encontrar com os amigos e passar mais tempo conversando!

The Jane Hotel is on the border of the Hudson River, right near the High Line in the Meatpacking District. Its story is pretty cool: it has been a hotel for sailors, housed the survivors of the Titanic, has had a bad reputation and now is one of the coolest hotels (and believe me, with reasonable prices) in New York.
Inside the hotel there is another Cafe Gitane, that has a different vibe from the other, it's not in a busy area so it end up quieter. It has the same menu, so it's equally delicious!
This time we decided to go for brunch (the one meal that is a mix of breakfast and lunch) with our friend Ronnie Peterson. The food once again did not disappoint us, beef with mashed potatoes and salad, eggplant with goat cheese and feta cheese with black olives, tomatoes and capers. We didn't resist and decided to eat once more the avocado toast!
It's a great place to meet and spend time with friends!
