A Mel é fotógrafa, brasileira e mora em Los Angeles há tanto tempo que já deve ter passado mais tempo lá do que por aqui. Conhece a cidade como a palma de sua mão e tinha muitas, muitas dicas para nos dar.
Encontramos com ela para aproveitar nosso final de dia em algum lugar. Acabamos indo parar no rooftop de um dos hotéis mais legais de LA, o Standard.
O legal dos hotéis da cidade é que em alguns deles tem piscina e bar no último andar e você não precisa estar necessáriamente hospedado nele para subir e se divertir.
Apesar dos prédios altos tamparem qualquer possibilidade de ver o sol se pondo, o reflexo na piscina e nos vidros espelhados dos vizinhos garantem um espetáculo a parte.
Além do bar e da piscina ainda dá para aproveitar o "Beer Garden", tomando uma cerveja, comendo um delicioso pretzel e algumas variedades de salsicha.
De repente a luz dourada do sol e o calor já se haviam ido.
Mel is a brazilian photographer that lives in Los Angeles for so long that she probably has spent more time there than here in Brazil. She knows the city like the back of her hand and had many, many tips to give us.
We met her to enjoy the end of the day somewhere. We ended up at the rooftop of one of the coolest hotels in LA, The Standard.
The cool thing about the city hotels is that some of them have a rooftop pool and bar and you do not necessarily need to be hosted on it to come up and have fun.
Even with all the tall buildings blocking any possibility of watching the sun setting, the reflection in the pool and in the mirrored glass of the neighbors ensure a great spectacle.
Apart from the pool and the bar, you can still go to the "Beer Garden", eat a delicious pretzel and some varieties of sausage.
Suddenly the golden sunlight and the heat had already gone.
