Skógafoss

Com mais de 61 metros de altura, Skógafoss é uma das maiores quedas de água da Islândia. Nos dias de sol a enorme quantidade de partículas de água no ar faz com que seja sempre visível um arco-íris!

Depois de muitos degraus e muito fôlego chegamos ao topo, de onde é possível ver as lindas montanhas, o começo da queda, respirar ar puro e sentir o vento gelado. E para quem quiser se aventurar mais, uma trilha começa logo ali, rumo à origem do rio: as gelerias Eyjafjallajökull (lembram do vulcão do caos aéreo em 2010?) e Mýrdalsjökull.

With more than 61 meters high, Skógafoss is one of the largest waterfalls in Iceland. On sunny days the huge amount of water particles in the air makes always visible a rainbow! After many steps and much breath, we reached the top where you can see the beautiful mountains, the beginning of the fall, breath fresh air and feel the cold wind. And for those who want to venture further, a track begins right there, towards the source of the river: the glaciers Eyjafjallajökull (remember the volcano of the air traffic chaos in 2010?) and Mýrdalsjökull.
