Em nosso último dia em Reykjavík fomos convidadas a ficar hospedadas no Center Hotel Arnarhvoll. Com excelente localização e uma ótima vista para a baía de Faxafloi, o hotel é ótimo em qualquer situação, seja uma viagem de negócios, descansar alguns dias ou passear pela cidade mesmo.
Com apenas 5 minutos de caminhada, você já está em Laugavegur - a rua mais movimentada da cidade - e em 10 minutos já está no porto para comer em lugares como o Sea Baron ou Burger Joint! E apesar de perto de tudo é tranquilo o suficiente para uma silenciosa noite de sono. O hotel ainda conta com um spa no subsolo e um restaurante no último andar.
Chegamos ao Arnarhvoll ainda de manhã e tivemos a sorte do dia ainda estar claro e do nosso quarto ter uma vista privilegiada para o mar e para o monte Esja, que a neve começava a cobrir.Depois de vários dias viajando adoramos usar o hotel como base e dormir em uma das camas mais confortáveis da viagem! O difícil foi querer levantar o dia seguinte!
Se não tiver a sorte de ficar em um quarto com essa vista não se preocupe, é só subir até o restaurante e aproveitar. Além do monte e do mar, vale a pena ver o prédio do Harpa de dia e de noite!
On our last day in Reykjavík we were invited to stay at Center Hotel Arnarhvoll. With a nice location and a great view to the Faxafloi bay, the hotel is very good for any situation, whether a business trip, a few days of rest or even walk around the city.
With just a 5 minutes walk, you are on Laugavegur - Reykjavík's main street - and in 10 minutes, you are at the harbor to eat at places like Sea Baron or Burger Joint! An although near everything, it is quiet enough to a calm night's sleep. The hotel has also a spa and a restaurant.
We arrived at Arnarhvoll in the morning and we were luck the day was clear and that our room had a special view to the sea and to the mount Esja, which the snow was starting to cover.
After many days traveling, we loved to use the hotel as a base and to sleep in one of te most comfortable beds of our trip. The hard part was waking up the next day!
If you were not lucky enough to stay in a room with this view, don't worry, just go up to the restaurant and enjoy. Besides the mountain and the sea, it is worth seeing the Harpa building by day and night!
