Kron Kron

Reykjavík é uma cidade bem pequena, sua população gira em torno dos 120 mil habitantes (a Islândia inteira tem 318 mil!) e é no centro que está a rua mais importante e movimentada, a Laugavegur. É nela e em suas adjacências que estão as lojas, bares e restaurantes mais legais da cidade. Quase na esquina com essa rua, está a Kron Kron, loja de roupas e acessórios com uma seleção de designers que vai desde Vivienne Westwood, Marc Jacobs, Missoni e Bernhard Willhelm (responsável pelo figurino lindo e colorido da Bjork no disco de 2007, Volta) até os escandinavos Henrik Vibskov, Peter Jensen e Acne. A única designer islandesa com produtos na loja é a Hildur Yeoman, com suas divertidas peças, entre elas as bolsas em forma de cachorro e cisne.

A Kron Kron abriu em 2004 em um espaço bem menor e cresceu tanto e tão rápido que o casal de donos, Hugrún Árnadóttir e Magni Þorsteinsson, precisaram de um espaço maior e também de mais marcas. Junto com a a loja, nasceu também a vontade de criar uma marca própria, e assim em 2008 nasceu a Kron by Kron Kron. Primeiro vieram os sapatos e agora as roupas. A combinação de cores é simplesmente maravilhosa, super femininos e com toques retrô, os sapatos são realmente lindos e diferentes de tudo que vemos por aí. E isso vale para as roupas também, que conversam claramente com os sapatos.

Como tudo tem um preço, os dos produtos Kron by Kron Kron são salgados (talvez só mais uma parte do reflexo da crise na qual o país está saindo), mas valem pela qualidade e originalidade. E também estão disponíveis na loja online!

Reykjavík is a very small town, its population is around 120 000 inhabitants (Iceland has 318,000!) and it is downtown where the most important and busy street is, Laugavegur. It is there and in its surroundings that all the coolest shops, bars and restaurants of the city are.
In one of its corners is Kron Kron, a clothes and accessories shop with a selection of designers ranging from Vivienne Westwood, Marc Jacobs, Missoni and Bernhard Willhelm (who created the beautiful and colorful clothes of the 2007 Bjork's cd, Volta) to the scandinavians such as Henrik Vibskov, Peter Jensen and Acne. The only Icelandic designer that has products in the store is Hildur Yeoman, with her fun pieces, including the dog and swan bags.
Kron Kron opened in 2004 in a much smaller space and grew so much and so fast that the owners, Magni Árnadóttir and Hugrún Thorsteinsson, needed a bigger space and also more brands. Along with the store, the desire to create their own brand emerged, and so in 2008 was born Kron by Kron Kron. First with the shoes and now with clothes. The color combination is just amazing, super feminine and with retro touches, the shoes are really beautiful and different from anything we have seen. That also applies for the clothes that relates clearly with the shoes.
Everything has a price, and the products of Kron Kron by Kron are kind of expensive (maybe it is just a reflection of the crisis that the country underwent), but it is worth it because of the quality and originality. And they are also available at the online store!
