Wilco

O dia começou assim: "Amanda, eu quero muito ir no show do Wilco, quer ir também?" Eu tinha 5 minutos para decidir e comprar o ingresso, já que o show era naquele mesmo dia. "Então tá! Eu vou!".

Essa decisão não poderia ter sido mais acertada. Ainda estava claro quando chegamos no lugar: um palco montado no meio do Central Park (Rumsfeld Park)! A chuva que nos atrapalhou alguns dias tinha dado uma trégua e o clima estava ótimo, as pessoas iam chegando aos poucos sem nenhuma confusão e tumulto. Chegamos cedo e decidimos garantir nosso lugar bem na frente do palco. Já estavamos achando o cenário lindo, eram pedaços de tecido branco amarrados em uma corda - quando o show começou as luzes coloridas projetadas deixavam o palco ainda mais legal. O som estava melhor do que de qualquer show em lugares fechados que fomos na cidade.

Para completar, depois de algumas músicas percebemos que estavamos a poucos metros do ator de dois de nossos filmes favoritos (Antes do Amanhecer, e Antes do Por do Sol): Ethan Hawke! Assim como nós, Ethan curtiu as duas horas de show do Wilco em um dia que foi com certeza inesquecível.

Quando você acha uma banda melhor ao vivo do que nas gravações, não tem jeito, ela realmente é muito boa. Wilco já fazia parte da playlist da Anninha e agora faz parte da minha também...e da do wlst!

The day began like this: "Amanda, I really want to go to the Wilco's concert, do you want to go with me?" I had five minutes to decide and to buy the ticket, since the show was that night."All right then, I will."
This decision could not have been wiser. There was still light when we got to the place: a stage set up in the middle of Central Park (Rumsfeld Park)! It was raining for a few days but it stopped that day and the weather was great, people were coming slowly without any confusion umultoand turmoil. We arrived early and decided to save our place in front of the stage. It was very beautiful, pieces of white cloth tied to a rope - when the show started the colored lights projected, left the stage even nicer. The sound was better than any indoor concert.
To complete after a few songs we realized we were just a few meters from the actor of our two favorite movies (Before Sunrise and Before Sunset): Ethan Hawke! Like us, Ethan enjoyed the two hours that Wilco played, on a day that was certainly unforgettable.
When you feel that the band is better live than on the records, it is because it really is very good. Wilco was already part of the Anninha's playlist and is now part of mine too ... and of the wlst!
