Dizem que Portland, Oregon é uma das melhores cidades para se viver. Ainda não tivemos a oportunidade de conhecer, mas se depender da xícara de café do Stumptown Coffee Roaster, vontade é que não vai faltar! Foi com certeza um dos melhores cafés que tomamos em Nova Iorque, daqueles que dá vontade de tomar de novo.
Com apenas uma loja em Manhattan, no Ace Hotel, e localização incrível (no meio da confusão de Midtown) e estratégica ao mesmo tempo por atrair o público do hotel e também de outras pessoas que trabalham na área. Lá parece ser um dos hotéis mais legais da cidade e dizemos isso só de conhecer o lobby!
O Stumptown tem uma entrada pelo hotel e uma pela rua e a fórmula é simples: os melhores cafés do mundo torrados por eles mesmos e preparado por ótimos baristas. Nada de firulas, o lugar vende mesmo só a bebida e algumas coisas simples como croissants e pãezinhos para acompanhar.
Apesar de não ter mesas nem cadeiras, você pode passar um tempinho no hotel ou ir deliciando seu café quentinho passeando pela rua.
People say that Portland, Oregon is one of the best cities to live. We haven´t had the opportunity to go there yeat, but after the cup of coffee from Stumptown Coffee Roasters that we had, we wish we have! It was certainly one of the best we had in New York, the kind that makes you want to go have another one.
There is only one store in Manhattan at the Ace Hotel, wich has an incredible location (in the middle of Midtown´s chaos) and strategic at the same time, attracting the hotel´s costumers and also other people who work around. It is probably, one of the nicest hotels in town and we can say it just by knowing the lobby!
Stumptown Coffee has an entry inside the hotel and one at the street and the formula is very simple: the best coffee beans from all over the world roasted by themselves and prepared by great baristas. There is no frills, the place sells just coffee and some simple things like croissants and breads.
Although there are no tables or chairs, you can spend some time at the hotel or take a coffee to go and walk around.
